I dont know why this hotel is rated so high?? My experience was a one! The bathtub is so slipery you cant even stand in it the plug was broken breakfeast was a bust! And the service well lets just say I wouldnt stay again. Location was awkard to the beach. Beds were comfortable and thats about it.

My review is for the Holiday Inn Express at North Padre Island. I did not stay at this hotel this time, just visited to recharge my phone battery. I can say that all personnel there are exceptionally friendly as they allowed me to charge my phone and have a cup of coffee while waiting. I visited the premises which are very clean; there are a pool and hot-tub tucked in on the side of the hotel. Thank you all at HIE for your kindness! Blessings.

Good spot while other is being renovated. Very friendly front desk. Rooms were clean & carpet was clean. Good breakfast in a.m. Pool water was very, very clean. Beach is across the street which is a huge plus!!

So I Booked a room through Expedia with Ocean view. The lady at the counter sets me up with a room in the first floor which does not have ocean view and says, "I didn't change anything from what was booked" then I asked for an ocean view room which she tells me she can set me up in the third floor but the elevator is out of order. Fair enough.. the thing that really upset me was that I asked for the difference from a regular room to an ocean view room, which was 15-20 per night difference and they said to contact Expedia. I called Expedia and they said it's on the hotel. I didn't want to spend my vacation arguing so I just stopped going back and forth with them. I regards to the room itself, the first set of towels smelled like someone vomited on them. There was also a table with a lot of rust on the base. Keep looking for a different place, would not recommend.
