Residence Inn by Marriott Corpus Christi

By far the worst experience I've ever had. Only one towel set in room, TV, phones and dishwasher not working. Had to called front desk and spoke to Jose. I was able to get linens for the pull out bed but not pillows. Jose said he couldn't fix the TV or provide service because the hotel was full. He then hung up on me. My friend went downstairs and was told by Jose that if we ask for anything else he would have us removed from the property. Found out the next morning he never put in our request for maintenance to fix the TV.

Great location for families, but the staff seemed overwhelmed, often needing to reset our keys, and forgetting to send extra towels.

Had to talk to management multiple times to get to my charge consistent with my reservation. It was finally resolved after showing them my reservation confirmation in person. The television barely worked as well.

Noteworthy details: Ok I'm gold elite with Marriott because most of the time they really do have great properties and I usually get great service from them. BUT not this time. This place is in serious need of a makeover. It's old and dingy. The walls are brown and dark on the 3rd floor. I got the 2 bedroom suite and that room was not to my standard. The window was cracked, holes in the ceiling, dirty carpets. Just not appealing at all. In the other rooms the room numbers were written on an index card and taped to the door!! I honestly couldn't believe this was a Marriott property! To top it all off, the customer service was sub par. I reported the defects in the room to the front desk and there was no apology or a suggestion to be moved to a better room (there was probably not a better one). They deactivated all our room keys and had to go down to get it reactivated, no apology. The room attendants told us to hang the sign on the door to get towels replaced without getting room cleaned- they never replaced our towels for 3 days. I would personally never go back to this place. Only positive was that the location was great. Close to lots of shops and restaurants.
