We chose a hotel with an indoor pool because it wasn't warm enough to enjoy an outdoor pool. The pool was ice cold. Could not enjoy swimming with my family. We went to purchase drinks for the family from the front desk, and did not realize until we were back in the room that my $6 soda was 2 months expired. The elevator was broken and had to walk up and down 5 flights of stairs, so when I called down to the fron desk, we learned that our room phone was a decoy phone. I let the front desk know about the phone and their response was "okay, so what can I help you with" I explained about my soda, and he wanted me to go back down 5 flights of stairs to replace it. I asked if I could get it in the morning, and he said he doesn't know, but he'll make a note of it. Luckily I was able to replace it. I had assumed they got rid of the expired sodas since the night before, but they did not. I told the front desk person that all of that soda is still expired and on their shelf. She told me I could get my money back. That wasn't my concern. My concern was they're still selling expired sodas. I switched it out for a different soda that didn't exire until the following day. I had assumed there was continental breakfast. I was wrong. But I was super disappointed to learn that there wasn't breakfast included. I would have had a better experience staying at the motel 6. That was not worth the $250 I paid for one night. At least at a motel 6 I would have got my money's worth, and knew what to expect.
