Hertz Car Rental - Mcallen Eagle Automotive HLE

Second time that I rent a car there and I am always happy with the SUV, I had a Nissan Murano Midnight Edition 2023 and a Mazda CX-5 2023. The staff is cordial, check in and check out take around 5 mn. Never had a line to do. In addition, the place is very elegant!

My insurance company got me a car with them while my car is under repair, I rent the car and they give me the car, I take it and then I see that the license plates are expired, the person who helped me tells me that I can move the car so the The police don't do anything to me because it is a commercial car to which I think rental cars break the exception? And for this I told the person who helped me if they could come get the car because I don't feel comfortable moving the car like that and he tells me that if they came for it they wouldn't be able to give me any others. To begin with, they should inspect the vehicle so that the client is in good condition. He rented it for 5 days and actually used it for 2 days because that was when I realized that the vehicle's license plate had expired. It was Saturday and Sunday and I didn't have a car and instead of apologizing they told me to move it so there was no problem and to go get another vehicle so they could change it. It was really a very bad experience. First time and last time I get a rental car at Hertz Car Rental

This is the 2nd time our insurance company has referred us to this location while our vehicle is being repaired. The first time we were put on a waiting list to get a vehicle which we never got. We also never got a returned call or any type of follow-up. On this occasion, I called several days before to ensure a vehicle would be ready for us. We were assured that it would be ready. I arrived a little later to give them additional time to have vehicle ready. When I arrived the service person looked surprised that I was there to pick up the vehicle. I was informed that the vehicles were still being prepared/cleaned and that it would be 3-4hrs before they would be ready. I explained that I had called previously to ensure the vehicle would be ready and that I had to find transportation to their location. It was clear that the service person could care less and I was told they were opened till 5pm. I would highly recommend that this location be avoided.
