Update 2/23/23: Don't know what happened to this company, but from one day to the next, there were NO more California loads. Keep in mind that this company is based in California. We were also told that the company did not have enough money to purchase fuel to travel out of Texas. Over all, this was by far the best company to work for in the RGV due to its awesome benefits and equipment. I guess all good things must come to an end. There are some major changes going on within the company and probably not good ones. About 9 drivers left the company within a few days of each other due to these changes and ZERO communication. I wish this company the best in its new journey. Update 5/17/22: Going on my 4th year and Jeffrey Freight keeps improving. The company has added additional new trucks and trailers as well as new routes. We run Dallas, southern California, Georgia and a couple other places if requested. Pay jumped from 48 cpm to 52 cpm. This company does NOT use recap tires on the trucks or trailers. Our CSA score is really good. We now have a local driver and are in the process of hiring a Fleet Manager. The staff members in McAllen, Grapevine and Los Angeles Offices are extremely friendly and professional. The drivers are NEVER pushed to drive illegal. You get plenty of time to deliver and if a driver needs a few days off, it's never a problem. Your truck will be where you left it. If you want to work in a relaxed and friendly environment, I recommend trying Jeffrey Freight. Update 9/14/21: Almost 3 years later I still highly recommend this company. That being said, it still has alot of growing to do. The initial recruiting statement, "we have our own light loads" is only true part of the time. We now do alot of heavy live loading and unloading all over Texas, not just in McAllen anymore. Still NO quick pay, cash advance or fleet manager to check and take care of the trucks and trailers. That all falls on the individual driver. However, comparing Jeffrey Freight to all of the other companies in the RGV, it is my opinion that it is still one of the best companies to work for. What helps separate Jeffrey from the rest, is their great insurance and FREE $100,000 life insurance. The pay is average. The office personnel is great and very respectful. 2018: Great company. Employee's are treated well and all the equipment is new.
