Do not go here whatever you do! Enjoyed the actual class. Before starting class the recruiter had verbally given me the idea that I would not be responsible for anything unless I received a job as a software engineer. It is their job to find you a job. I was constantly told after class keep applying for jobs, of which I applied to close to 400. Within the first three months after graduating Bottegas recruiter set me up with two job interviews. One of which requires 3 to 5 years experience, the other one was for a tech stack that they had not even taught me and I did not know. I never heard from a recruiter again, but was sent invitation maybe once a month at the very most for virtual job fairs for companies in Utah. It is year later and still no recruiter from Bottega has reached out with a new job referral 9 months. What they do not tell you is that for the next 10 years if you do not get a job in software engineering you will have a part-time job constantly filling out financial information for your contractual obligation with a company that consistently disconnects your bank account and messed up your information that makes you have almost a part time job with how many times per week you have to correct information you may have already submitted.

Read the other one star reviews. This company is aggressive, dishonest, and unapologetic. Please dont waste your time or money.

I attended Bottega in January 2020. Classmates were fine, teacher was fine, but we never really got into helpful code practices. You just watch pre-recorded videos of Jordan Hudgens talk about coding. If you are good at video learning, save yourself $12,000 and learn via youtube or codeacademy for free. If I could do it all over, I would enroll in DevMountain or Lamda and feel confident that I could get a good tech job after graduating. I keep in touch with several of my classmates, and they also did not get tech jobs after graduating, but now have $12,000 debt to pay off. The Bottega education quality is average, and it might be my own fault for setting the expectation too high, but one thing that is just malicious is I referred my brother to take the class with me because they have $500 referral bonus (paid after the course is completed), and we both wanted to learn to code for our business. After graduation, I asked the status of that referral bonus and they said they will send us a check shortly. We have followed up with them every month since graduating (March 2020) and now they are just not responding to our emails or calls. Anthony Knolls (Director of Operations) just gives us the run around that they need more proof that the referral was approved by Fili Ledezma (president). We're approaching 9 months and still no referral bonus, no responses from Bottega, and no hope that they will follow through with their promises. Don't offer referral bonus's if you have no intention of keeping your word.
