After nearly a decade of doing business with twinstar, I closed all my personal and business accounts yesterday. They cancelled a 20k line of credit I paid off then sent a letter today indicating it was an error. There are too many gotcha moments over the years to describe but I am not impressed...

Twinstar is a mickey mouse operation. They randomly turn your card completely off without notification on weekends for "fraud alerts" that are already verified as authorized transactions. This happens about every 6 months. Extremely annoying. After being a customer here for about 7 years I recommend you use a different bank if you care about being able to use your card when you travel.

Since my last review, we migrated from Twinstar to an entirely online bank. Kept the Twinstar account open to deposit cash and transfer money, something I use once a year or so. The one thing I've noticed is that they have changed all of the account numbers 3 times - once when we were using Twinstar as primary, twice since then. In fact, every time I have deposited cash in the last three years, I have to re-link the accounts to do the transfer because Twinstar has changed the account numbers, and my old linked account numbers are obsolete. We only have a few cents w/Twinstar, so it could be worse. Revolving account numbers would be unnerving if paychecks were being deposited and bills were supposedly being paid.

This company will lock you out of your account and say it's fraud so you verify it's not and they keep it locked for days. The are thieves taken peoples money and not allowing them to get it when they need it. Criminals and they need to be charged. Customer service sucks they don't even try and help just keep you old hold and repeat them selfs and say sorry I can't help you. What a joke worst bank ever, worst cu ever. Don't open account here.
