When I first moved in nine and s half years ago this apartment building was livable. The majority of the tenets were happy and we all banded together forming a loose knit family. We had potlucks, bbq's, yard sales and just general get togethers. Over the nine and a half years since I have lived here we have gone through five different managers. One was embezzling, and I won't even go into the rest. The only good manager that we have had left because of pregnancy. As tenets we have been promised many things. And its not as if the owners are short of monies. This apartment building has been fully paid off (no mortgage), yet when you ask for an improvement the answer is always the same: we do not have enough money. We were promised double paned windows several years ago. We are still waiting. You see, we live right across the street from a very busy set of train tracks. The trains run twenty-four hours a day. Incredibly loud and intrusive. I was promised laminate(sp?) flooring three years ago; I am still walking on the stained carpet that has been in this apartment since well before I moved in. We have had several infestations of bugs and generally management has been slow to respond. Yes, I am thankful that I have a roof over my head, and my rent is more than affordable but as a handicapped, senior citizen that needs extra caring and help this apartment building has defiantly come up short.
