Touchstone College Advising

Michelle, an Eastside / Seattle area Educational Consultant, worked with our daughter starting in January of her Junior year. From the very beginning, Michelle spent time not only getting to know our daughter and her goals, but also getting to know our family. This is why I believe she was able to provide such amazing guidance and support throughout the college application process. She is very knowledgeable, so she was able to answer all of our daughters questions, and also very organized, which helped to keep our daughter on track. Michelle also goes the extra mile by doing a lot of research, which helped to identify some colleges that werent on our radar and proved to be a great fit for our daughter. When it came time for our daughter to write her essays, Michelle did an amazing job of helping her to identify what she should write about to highlight her strengths and of course, her editing was invaluable. Our daughter stuck to Michelles suggested timeline, so she wasnt too stressed at the end and she was able to turn all of her applications in ahead of schedule. For us, having Michelle guide our daughter through this process was invaluable. We felt very comfortable being hands off since we knew that Michelle was helping our daughter to stay on track. My friends were commenting on how many conflicts they got into with their child during the application process and what a strain it was on their relationship. We feel so lucky that we didnt have the same experience and we know it is a result of Michelles excellent guidance. I know that hiring an Educational Consultant can be expensive, but its truly worth every penny. We cant wait to have our son work with Michelle again in a few years when its his turn to apply for colleges. Thanks again Michelle!

As a student in the application process, I would highly recommend any student to seek guidance from Michelle. She provided me with knowledgeable resources and essay support that helped me feel confident when submitting my applications. Her feedback and guidance was also helpful, reliable, and professional. Michelles service was invaluable to my daughters college application process. She had insights not only in college selection and essay preparation, but also other actions my daughter could take to optimize her chances to getting into her favorite schools. My daughter responded well to Michelles feedback and the improvement in her essays was amazing. Their relationship allowed me to step out of the college application process and let my daughter own it as she should. The whole experience let me enjoy my daughters senior year and not bet stressed out. What a gift!

Im so happy we brought Michelle onboard to help my son with his college application process. Michelle provided just the right amount of guidance and support in choosing colleges and provided professional and knowledgeable insight into the different colleges he was considering (which I would not have been able to do). She helped him to outline his goals, helped him focus in on essay ideas and provided invaluable editing help through the many essays required with each application. She went above and beyond on several occasions. I would highly recommend Michelle if youre considering a college counselor!
