Shining Stars Preschool

We had the best experience with Ms. Shannon! She goes above and beyond for these kiddos, and makes every child feel special. Because they truly are to her. Ive never seen someone put so much into holiday events, random crazy hat day or jersey day, or birthday celebrations. She makes learning fun and encourages good habits! I was amazed how well my 4 year old was able to correctly hold his pencil, understand directions and follow through with them, and learn how to play well and learn with others. We love Ms. Shannon!

Finding Shannon and Shining Stars Preschool was an absolute blessing. My daughter Summer loved going each day. Not only did they do regular activities to get ready for Kindergarten, they do those activities while having fun! And it wasn't all about the ABCs and 123s, they did science experiments, raised caccoons into butterflies, went on field trips to learn about farm animals and so much more. And now, years later, Summer still loves getting to see Ms. Shannon If you are looking for a teacher with a big heart who will teach your kids while having fun, Shining Stars is the right place to go!

Highly recommend. Our child was able to do 2 years of preschool here and it was amazing for his growth. He started kindergarten well above his peers socially and academically. We were lucky to get my son in because there is normally a waitlist. The effort and dedication Shannon puts into all her classes is impressive. There are field trips and holiday parties and the cutest preschool graduation youve ever seen. Shannon is easy to work with and also fair with each of the kids. The kids love her and they know she loves them.

Three of my children went to Ms. Shannon for preschool. They all loved her! She was very thorough with what she taught them and she treats them like her own kids! All of them were reading before they went into kindergarten because of her! She is a great teacher, and after your kids go there she becomes a great friend!

Our youngest son attended Shining Stars Preschool with Ms. Shannon for 2 years before entering kindergarten. I can honestly say that not only did he have the best experience with Ms. Shannon, but he was also beyond prepared for kindergarten. It takes a certain type of person to mold young minds, and Ms. Shannon is just that. She genuinely loves what she does. Each year she created a learning environment where the kids felt safe, were empowered to question the world around them, and made learning fun. As an educator myself, I was impressed with how much my son learned while attending Shining Stars. Not only did he learn all of his letters and sounds, but he left Ms. Shannon knowing 37 sight words! Ms. Shannon goes above and beyond in all that she does, and I promise you that you and your family will not he disappointed if you choose Shining Stars for preschool. After a year away from Ms. Shannon, she is still a name we talk about frequently. We feel truly blessed to have had her work with our son.
