I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy - if you value your peace, sleep and sanity, take heed. ***Response from management says to reach out because they want to improve, yet multiple noise complaints have resulted in unbearable, ever-increasing noise, obviously harassment at this point, because neighbors now know there is literally no consequence for making excessive noise 24/7. Maybe enforce your own rules instead of leaving tenants to deal with constant disturbances and nuisance neighbors??? Is it now the tenant's job to address violations of the noise & disturbance clause in the lease agreement, as well as put in work orders for laundry machines?? What next? Ridiculous. We pay more while you provide less. Buildings smell of cigarettes, burnt food, hot fish, trash (and more recently, VOMIT), residents leave their laundry for long periods and there are just 3 washers & 3 dryers per building, packages have been stolen frequently, worsening, excessive noise by neighbors day and night with no consequences, residents will buzz your unit late at night if they forget their keys. Ridiculous amount of noise, huge thumps and crashes until late at night, and it only increases despite numerous complaints. Liquid dripping through the ceiling from the upstairs unit on numerous occasions, so ceilings are now stained and you're left to clean up huge puddles. Maintenance is possibly the only positive, but units are mediocre at best; which is especially disappointing considering how much rents have skyrocketed. The actual office hours are limited and for any issues with laundry (which are frequent - no heat in dryers, machine out of order, doors not closing, etc.), you're told to contact the company listed on the stickers on the machines. Too many little annoyances and serious problems with NOISE which ultimately make the recent price increases just absurd - you're not getting what you pay for anymore, by any stretch of the imagination. If you enjoy resorting to wearing headphones 24/7 to escape your neighbors' day & night chaos and late night buzzing by neighbors who forget their keys, cleaning up leaks from neighboring units and having packages stolen, this is the place for you! It might have been 3 stars a few years ago but the poor management, nightmare neighbors, and over 50% increase in rents make this place a one star at best.

Wish I could pick zero google stars. My sister lived at French Quarter Apartments for 6+ years and always paid her rent, a very good tenant. After a two-week hospital stay for heart failure, she was moved into a Nursing Home (not her choice) and gave a 30-day notice. She was completely moved out of her apartment "before" giving 30-day notice. French Quarter called my sister many times at the nursing home to tell her she needed to continue to pay rent? Do you like a landlord that does this? This says a lot about French Quarters. My sister ended up also paying another months rent (60 days total) under mental duress from French Quarters continued phone calls at the nursing home. Good 6-year+ Tenant, Bad Landlord. In the end, French Quarter made my sister pay 3-1/2 months of rent after she was completely moved out and charged her $300+ in fees. I question French Quarters ethics trying to collect from an elderly person that was moved in to a nursing home and charging her late fees too? The same thing happened with my mom, and that different Landlord in Waukesha accepted the 30-day notice, understanding my mothers situation. Think twice if you want to rent from the French Quarter Apartments, I just hope you are extremely healthy. Seems odd that the French Quarters had "many" 4 & 5 star google reviews all with will no comments listed, just stars in 2021. Looks like they wanted to increase their overall google rating score to attract new tenants? Make your own judgement from the past google reviews. Very upset for what French Quarters Apartments put my elderly sister through.

French Quarter Apartments (FQA) Posted Comment - We are sorry to hear about your sister's move-out experience at French Quarter. In circumstances like this, we do have procedures in place to assist our residents with an unforeseen move. However, communication is crucial to ensure both parties are aware of what is going on. Please contact the office if you would like to discuss this matter further. Thanks for posting this note from FQA above. Sorry I must be confused, my sister did send you the following written communication with her 30-day notice. From my sister to FQA 2-27-2023. This is to inform you that SG is giving my 30 day notice. Thank you for allowing me to have lived here 6 years before my health recently decreased. I have been in the hospital for multiple weeks, and currently in a short-term Rehab Facility until they can locate Assisted Living Facility for me. FQA can get into my apartment immediately as needed. From me to French Quarter 7-6-23 I am responding to your communication dated June 15, 2023. As my sister wrote in her 30-day notice, she was moved into a nursing home. This was due to her congestive heart failure and she physically can't take care of herself. When she gave her legal 30-day notice on February 27, 2023, she was completely moved out of her apartment and she gave the French Quarter Apartments permission to access her apartment immediately on 2-27-2023. The move was not her choice. I am not sure why you are saying she did not communicate her status with FQA, see parts our two letters above? FQA billed her for 3-1/2 months plus $300+ in fees after giving 30-day notice going into Assisted Living. You never responded in your communication that FQA has a procedure in place for this? But, suddenly FQA does since your communication to my sister in mid-June? You have my POA contact info from my written communication letter to FQA in early July. I can respond to FQA procedure once I hear back from FQA in writing? Should this go to Blake Capital too?
