I’m sure Grant Collins knows how to do the things listed on the site, but unfortunately he was busy getting arrested for stealing cigars and more from the Alabama locker room instead of finishing his job. I was an employee of The Water Channel, Inc. for about two weeks. Though I wasn’t there long, my experience working with and for the owner, Grant Collins, couldn’t have been worse. I’d like it to be known that I have never written a negative review on an employer’s company before but I would hate for someone else to go through what I’ve been through working for and dealing with this company. In short, this was the most unprofessional company I’ve ever worked for. There was no training upon employment, little to no communication with the owner (Grant Collins), and I only got paid 22% of what I was owed and I wasn’t the only employee not getting paid. I was given the run around by Grant for almost a month about why I haven’t been paid before he eventually blocked my number (along with other employees) and I’ve yet to hear back from him. If I could offer any advice to potential employees of The Water Channel, Inc. and any potential consumers debating involvement with this company, it’s simply, don’t do it. Grant Collins is not a man of his word and is highly unstable and untrustworthy. He’s out for his own best interest and if that means shorting you of what you’re owed or cutting corners to put more money in his pocket, then that is a sacrifice he’s willing to make. I hope this review will be a red flag to anyone looking to do business with The Water Channel, Inc.

I rarely ever write reviews but I want to share my experience so no one else has to go through what I went through. I'm a veteran, retired from the USAF with more than 25 years of service. I have never gone out of my way to tear down a business, but this company has truly gone too far. I hired The Water Channel to fix some irrigation issues I was having in my backyard. They came out on July 9th and gave me an estimate for various things that needed to be fixed for over $5,300. July 15th I made a deposit of $2,750. Over the course of the month of July and them not showing up to work for various personal reasons, we changed the overall job requirement from the initial estimate. The total job was supposed to be much less than the initial $5,300. Last week on August 9th, they contacted me and wanted an additional $1,000 to complete the job (mind you, I've already given them $2,750 with hardly any work done so far). This should've been a 1 day job, 2 days max. It's been almost 30 days now. I refuse to pay any more money for a job that isn't even complete. The trench in the photo they dug with a shovel because the owner, Grant Collins, put unleaded fuel in the Ditch-witch machine. This machine doesn't take unleaded it take diesel fuel…..so adding unleaded fuel left the machine inoperable (that's what I was told). I tried to give this company the benefit of the doubt. I've been patient with them and given them plenty of time to correct their mistakes. If anyone hires this company, please beware! Or at least be cautious given my experience with them. They just got their business license in April 2021... Photos are attached of what was done for my deposit ($2,750). The 3 plastic gray channels in the photo are items I purchased. All they did was dig the channel. I hope my experience was a fluke, but I just wanted to warn people in case they have the same experience as I did. I definitely do not recommend this company!
