Ohana Appliance Repair Service

On 3/13 Monday Dustin said he'd come by my home tomorrow (Tuesday around 3pm) on his way home to Mililani which is where I live also. I have a Samsung fridge that's freezer is filled with frost and ice and it's leaking as the ice melts near the insulation. I texted him to confirm appt day and time and my address after our call on Monday. No response. Tuesday at 2 i called no answer. Texted "are we still on for 3?" No response. Left at 330 had people to do and things to see. Called again around 5pm left msg reminding him he forgot. No response. This was a follow up appt initiated by me as on Feb 13 he left me a vm returning my call and msg saying I needed help with my fridge. When I called back and texted there was no response. Lose Money

I had a 1-1/2 year old refrigerator giving me problems. Didn't get the extended warranty cause I never had problems before. Called Ohana appliance repair and had an appointment in 2 hours. This ment a lot cause I have a 2 year old that needs milk at night that's not spoiled. Gary came and found the problem right away. Gave me the best option for reliability and cost. I'm gonna keep this number for any future needs. Always good to have kind, and knowledgeable people when needed.

Not sure how to rate; my experience was a mixed bag. Called Ohana b/c my regular guy wasn't available to troubleshoot why my LG dryer quit heating. Dustin answered on the first ring and scheduled an appointment for the next day Arrived early (not good for me since I had to rush home to meet him, but OK) He got right to work , had the fuse part, quoted the price and in under hour + $288, dryer back in service. Dryer quit heating the next day. I called Dustin regularly for 8 days. Left detailed messages. No answer and no return call. Dustin finally answered on day 9. He got cousin Gary scheduled on day 11. Gary replaced the the fuse. He took initiative to replace the drum belt too. Tested and it worked. No charge. The same day, we loaded wet clothes but the dryer would not rotate Gary came back next day. Redid the belt he'd installed the wrong way. No chargeI later noticed when it was put back together, the water filter is jammed and lint filter is askew. Oh well‍ its "good enough" for now.

Only giving four stars cause our fridge was not serviceable so we didn't really have anything experience wise to correctly rate them on.Our main / kitchen fridge stopped cooling off this past weekend and after searching around we came across Ohana Appliance Repair so we called on Sunday around 1:00 pm and left a message.We never got a call back so 8:30am on Monday I called again and got a hold of someone who told me Gary is available between 11:00 and 1:00 today. He would call prior to arriving at our house.He arrived and after a short review stated it's either the compressor or the workings and since the compressor seemed to be running it's the workings of the unit. Since it's a "closed system" he could repair it but it will Jenner be as good as new and someone would prob need to come back again and again to fill it Freon. Glad he was being upfront and honest but didn't give me an estimate of the cost for that service or rally let me decide off it's something I'd wanted to do or not. We have another smaller fridge so our need was not too pressing but it wasn't given as an option.Yelp questions were:1) Are they a good value? I'd like to say yes but be it good or bad when Gary  the service tech arrived after a quick check he let us know Its not worth fixing.2) Are they responsive? Not at first as I had to call back the next day.3) Are they reliable? Can't really say. They didn't fix anythingWill I call them gain if I have a need? Probably as I don't know if other appliance repair companies.l and Gary seemed honest and forthright. Unfortunately I didn't have a full experience to make a true review.
