Went online to check rates, and then went inside to get a room.
Rate was $128 online.
And the desk clerk told me $228.
I mentioned the rate that was online and she said that the extra $100 was for damage deposit.
I am 74 years old and leave a room pretty much like I find it.
I didn't bring my credit card and didn't want to short myself on cash since we hadn't had dinner yet.
She acted like she could care less.
So went across the street to the Holiday Inn Express where the desk clerk was glad to have our business. And no damage deposit.

Noteworthy details: The hotel itself
Was fine, clean and quiet, the front desk lady was the rudest person ever. She charged us for our service animal and
Told us she can do that because they are privately owned. Then she moved us from the first floor to
The third floor and said you people need to be on third floor because of our service animal. We needed first floor our service animal has a hard time with elevators. She was evil, rude and did not care she was breaking the law. I will be filing a complaint with AD
