It's an average apartment rental company so don't expect excellent customer service or a great user experience. Maintenance was weird because they sometimes did half the job and never came to finish or weren't transparent about the duration of repairs. The biggest irritation was the owner who would sometimes show up to calls and bring up personal issues with tenants. They pay rent for that living space and don't require anything extra out of you. Parking can also be a pain because they'll text you the day of to move your car to get plowed, you'll get added to a text chain so that gets annoying fast. The property itself isn't anything fancy, still had wood windows and 80s tiles so you can tell it's aged. Upon move-out, they'll take photos of everything then send you a nice CD with their documentation. Overall, the professionalism of management is poor and lacking because they know they got that market (area) on lockdown. They'll always have applicants because their apartments are nearby multiple colleges/universities and rent is in a sweet spot for many.

Historic St. Paul charm for an affordable price! Beautiful neighborhoods, well maintained apartments and buildings (hence the name). Cozy in the winter and fun places in the area to visit in the summer. Maintenance and property management is timely in responses and nice. Quick to plow and shovel in the tough Minnesota winters.

Very happy with my experience with them so far. Quiet, charming apartments, and responsive to needs. Great neighborhood.

They really should change their name to Minimally Maintained Apartments. I rented a unit on Feronia Ave. A lot of the windows in the apartment slid down from the top, some they fixed cheaply as you can see in the photo. Not all of them were "fixed" and cold air would come through. The screens were all bent and falling out of most of the windows. The balcony was slimy and gross. You couldn't walk on it without sliding until I spent an entire day scrubbing it so it was useable. The owners/landlords are rude. I asked if they could plow until before or after a snow emergency they were snarky and refused to even consider it. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but finding a parking spot on a normal day in the street is a challenge, let alone when everyone is moved for the snow emergency. They had to repair the retainer wall out front of the building and we couldn't use the front steps for I believe almost an entire month. They often shut off the water without notice or with less than an hour for notice. They had me give my deposit to the girl that I was moving in with who already lived there and she paid it to the residents moving out. So they haven't paid interest on deposit refunds for the previous residents who lived in my unit. And they did no inspections between new leases because one resident stayed for four years. They tried to charge me $35 for a CRP and so I had to request a Rent Paid Affidavit from the Department of Revenue and reported them. Oh and we also learned from some other residents in the building that their apartment key opened the doors to many other apartments... So hopefully you don't end up with some creeps as neighbors because who knows if they will have access to your place. Literally go any where else to rent. They are unprofessional, rude and shady and their buildings are of poor quality.
