Nice clean facility, friendly staff, comfortable bed. Next to freeway, convenient, some freeway noise. Security guard outside, nice, walk to resturants. We would stay there again.

This isn't a one-star La Quinta anymore, it's a Motel 6 now. And while it may be one of the most expensive Motel 6's in the area, it is worth it due to the fact that it is a face-lifted La Quinta. PS: the park in front is dog friendly but not dog safe-there is no fence between the park and busy San Mateo. The room I stayed in last week had good shower pressure and still had a bath tub- a rare find in motels these days. Plus I saw the security guard no less than half a dozen times during my stay and while walking my dog. The beds are too soft for my personal comfort, but that is just my preference.

We reserved two rooms. One suite with three beds and one King. First our reservations were lost. Luckily, we called to confirm (with our confirmation numbers, also lost!) and re-reserved them. When we checked in we were given two, three-bed suites. We had just been married on this trip and really didn't want three smaller beds, we wanted the king we reserved! They accommodated us but it was a hassle. There was a lot of noise and it wasn't very restful. There was also no fridge or microwave. (The suite had both) Also a bit expensive for a value hotel.
