These guys were great to work with! The estimator came out and was quick and efficient. Once we scheduled the project, I was given updates and they actually ended up completing everything ahead of schedule! The workers and Project Manger were great and responsive. They made sure my home, plants, and decks were safe. They also did a fantastic job cleaning up. By the end, you couldn't tell that I had just had my roof redone! Highly, highly recommend. I was very impressed and pleased with Baker Roofing from my first emails estimating the project through scheduling to end of the final day with the final inspection. At all times the Baker team was responsive, respectful, helpful and flexible. I encountered several obstacles in the rest of my project, but the one constant was Baker, and I couldn't be more appreciative of their professionalism, knowledge, attention to detail, consistency and just general pleasantness. This was the best experience we have had with any contractor that has ever worked on our home, and our new roof is absolutely gorgeous!!!! We could not be more pleased!!! David took care of everything from beginning to end, and explained the entire process. We knew exactly what to expect. Nelson and his crew were so thorough, so professional, and so thoughtful!!!! They were a well oiled machine, and they were so respectful of our property. What was really surprising was that the workers sang as they installed the roof! It is a daunting proposition to consider who to trust to work on your home these days. Soon after we moved to NC several years ago, I remember reading a recommendation for renovation work and the homeowner said "I would not consider using anyone other than Baker." That statement stuck with me. When we could no longer avoid the inevitability of replacing our original wood windows and doors, we called Baker. We were treated with care and respect by our estimator Robert Holt and were impressed with the acuity of Brian Altork. They prepared an estimate for us the week before the world stopped last March 2020. We put the job on hold. Fast forward to early 2021. Knowing we really really needed to go forward with our work, we decided to try to get a competing estimate, just to be sure. It was ridiculous. Their estimator needed me to help her measure our windows accurately. And their price, even after a bunch of shady "discounts" was more than 50% more than Baker. Our instinct to go with Baker was confirmed. We could not be more pleased with our project beginning to now--we've just completed phase 1. Our project manager, Robert Allen, is the type of person that stands by his word. He communicated with us daily, showed up on the jobsite, cultivated a positive working relationship with his team, and responded when we needed him. His project team was led by Octavio Cruz and Octavio is one of the most trustworthy, hardworking people I've met on a jobsite. He clearly enjoys and excels at the challenges of problem solving on the job. He and Robert treated our home like their own. It's not that everything went perfectly, either. We had drama when there was considerable rot found in one of our boxed bays and found an entire wall surrounding one of our windows had been decomposing for probably two decades, drip by drip. But each hurdle was met with a professional team, good communication, and Octavio's favorite phrase "It's nothing that can't be fixed." We even had the benefit of other experts from Baker coming to give their professional opinions when things got complex--Wayne Stanfield and Pete provided expertise and support as the project unfolded. And Luis, on our project team, was an enormous asset and worked his butt off. Robert Holt, always responsive, answered question after question as we worked through this process. And Brian Altork was involved throughout our project to make sure things got done exactly as specified. His skillset and attention to detail was invaluable to us. We've been so pleased with our experience that we've contracted for phase 2 of our window replacement and a porch roof to include guttering and balcony roof replacement. Baker isn't cheap. But you get what you pay for--peace of mind and quality craftsmanship from professionals that take pride in their work and stand by it. Thank you for helping revive our beautiful home.
