Brickhaven Bed and Breakfast

The place and the people who run it are magical! Fascinating house, great view of the Gorge, wonderful breakfast. Very restorative!

We stayed here for a weekend getaway. This was my first experience at a bed and breakfast and I expected what most would...excellent breakfast and relaxing bedroom area. We got both...and more. Each morning's breakfast was made from scratch, yummm. The bedrooms were comfortable and the large one with the private bath has a gas fireplace and great view out the window (plus it's own patio & kitchen). It is cozy but not cramped. The bed was nice and the furniture in the room quaint but useful (like the chairs in front of the window). The fireplace kept the room warm all night. The shared living area is also very comfortable and the views fabulous. The caretakers/host were extremely friendly and hospitable. Great stories and we felt very at home. I absolutely recommend staying here for a nice relaxing time without worries. I have traveled all over the USA and stayed in a variety of hotels. This is one of my top picks now. It is also close to other outdoor activities like the Multnomah Falls. Phyllis & Ed were wonderful. The picture I painted in my head of a mountain retreat was confirmed when we stayed here. Definitely recommended and we WILL go back in the future. We stayed November 2013.
