The Riverhouse Nestucca

We escaped from the forest fire smoke in Portland (09/2020) and Pacific City seemed a good place to breathe fresh air. We tried this the day after Pelican brewery and felt the food was better here. We had to wait a longer for the food. The server was a bit cranky thus the four stars.

This place is so so good! We are from Seattle and love food! We were so impressed! The service was great and had the sweetest waitress and also had an amazing dinner. I got the Ravioli Burblanc and Husband got the Crab Roll! Both were amazing! Husband raved about the fries! You have to come! Best food in Pacific City! Thank you Riverhouse!

Best place for a seafood experience. Friendly staff and amazing food. There was no wait for a Saturday and how can you argue when the food looks like this! Amazing place to dine 🍽🙌😍

What an awesome place. I got the crab Mac n cheese. Freaking amazing! One of the best meals I've had this year. Delicious, light....perfect. Amazing textures. The bread is great and the bread pudding is the bomb. Our wonderful waitress was attentive and helpful. Will be back whenever in this area. Thank you!!!

My date and I arrived at the restaurant in the early evening of a beautiful day, and requested an outdoor table on the river anticipating an amazing sunset. Although there were around six unoccupied tables, our server said, "I guess" when we asked to eat outside, and proceeded to complain about how she would now have to climb a certain number of stairs every time she went in and out of the restaurant. She further complained that she had open heart surgery two years ago, and suggested having to wait on us was an undue hardship. I was taken aback by her less than welcoming attitude, so we decided to leave and try another restaurant. I figured the owner/manager of The Riverhouse would like to know how his/her staff is treating potential customers, so I called back and asked to speak with him/her. Of course, "Marie", our would-be server, answered the phone and claimed she was the only one working. I will be calling back, but not returning to this restaurant.
