Lone Star Floors

Lone Star Floors deserve 5 stars for the job they performed in our home a few weeks ago. The crew (Jose & Arturo) were timely, courteous, and very skilled in installing wood floors. They were also very careful to prevent the escape of our 2 house cats. We would definitely use them again! Thanks, Bill.

I just had Lone Star Floors install hardwood and carpet in several rooms and it was a great experience. I needed to match a discontinued hardwood product in adjacent rooms and was able to find several options at Lone Star. The selection at Lone Star is very good but not over whelming. Bill directed me to a few options based on my sample of existing wood and once I narrowed my selection, I was able to take samples to compare in home. Bill came out to measure and brought carpet samples i forgot to take while at the store. Order to install timeframe was very fast. The Lone Star install crew was great. Quality work and fair pricing!

I had a very positive experience with Lone Star Floors. I had an urgent last minute need to replace my carpet with hardwoods on the 2nd floor of my house. It wasn’t a planned expense, but was necessary. My friend recently had Lone Star Floors redo her floors and was very pleased, but I wanted to check multiple companies. I made an appointment to come in to look at the options and to get an idea of his pricing, and Bill, the owner, was incredibly helpful and patient. I had a lot of questions and he was quick to make a follow up appointment to come and measure at my house. In his store he steered me in the right direction based on my price and overall needs for my house. I looked at 5 other flooring stores, and got quotes from 3. Most were much more expensive, and I figured out why: sales people making commission, and design specialists who pointed me to the exact floors that Lone Star also carried. Bill gave me the best quote and his team did a great job. They were very professional and I’d have them do any additional flooring I’d need. My floors look great and I’m very happy with them!

The opposite of Nike, JUST DON’T DO IT. Bill is very rude and very short tempered. He asked me to have materials I ordered picked up by Wednesday 2/4/21. I received text messages and phone calls multiple times a day for three days even after I told Bill the plan. These messages got progressively ruder as time approached pick up day (a.k.a. Bills line in the sand) I explained that the contractor was contacting him directly to make arrangements for pick up. When my contractor didn’t show on Wednesday all hell broke out and Bill had a meltdown. At the end of it all, it was picked up early the next day and Bills stroke was avoided. If you’re looking for good customer service, or actually even just OKAY customer service, go elsewhere. I think maybe it’s time for Bill to hang it up since he seems to really dislike dealing with people, also known as customers.

In 2019 when we decided to upgrade our flooring just like any other project in our house we decided to do a research for a place that has the best pricing and great customer service (which matters the most). After a dozen of places we found about "Lone Star Floors" via google search and decided to stop by. Went to the store and Bill welcomed us. He was very nice and answered all the questions (probably spent like an hr.). In addition he was so generous to allow us to have samples taken back home (3 days) and see what it looks like inside the house where its gonna be laid out during day/night. For the pricing and customer service this place offered it wasn't hard for us to make a final decision. Post the order placement he was very prompt on his communication about delivery and all the logistics around it. We decided to have our own installers but still he did follow up after few weeks to make sure its all done and we are happy over all along with providing us info we need to have handy for warranty etc. Since then I have referred a lot of friends of mine to this place and everyone had the same experience as we did. For folks who are out there looking for your flooring needs who are still thinking/researching and reading this I strongly recommend "Lone Star Floors" and can guarantee you won't regret on your decision.
