Marmot Mountain Works

Maybe a moot point, but they are going out of business. Bought an expensive pair of boots. Called about a month ago because they are defective. No recourse and no help! 100 percent satisfaction? Actually 0 satisfaction. Good riddance!

I'm a NW outdoors enthusiast with 20+ years experience hiking, climbing, skiing the Cascades. I know MMW from many years, but was disappointed today by lack of customer service. The guy who "helped" me seemed to write me off as clueless and wasn't motivated to invest the time or energy needed to help me get going with a new BC ski setup that would be right for me, despite the fact that there were few customers in the store when I was there. The message I got was, "tell me what you want". Sorry, but I came in for advice! Maybe if I were one of his personal ski buddies I would have gotten better service. Bummer for me and MMW.

Took my new skis to be mounted. They looked at my gear, and answered all my questions. Had them ready in 2 days! Very knowledgeable staff, friendly, enthusiastic about their field. A hidden gem.
