My initial experience with Dor-Mar was fairly seamless. They came out on Monday, completed the first part of the service I requested. However, after completing the first part of their service, Columbia Gas requested that we have a chimney liner installed. So I worked with Dor-Mar to get an estimate and have the installation scheduled. On Tuesday, I spoke with Dor-Mar at 12:21pm, 1:00pm, 3:42pm, and 4:10pm each time, Dor Mar confirmed the installation was scheduled for Wednesday between 8am - 12pm. Today (Wednesday), at 11:45am, 15-minutes before the project window was to be complete, I had not heard from Dor-Mar so I called Dor-Mar and was transferred to Greg (installation manager). This is where everything went wrong... After expressing my frustration to Greg about the error his team created by confirming the project and the project schedule only to never show up, Greg's response was: 1. Told me I was making a bad decision because "no one needs a chimney liner instead, you should buy a new high-efficiency furnace from Dor-Mar" this would be $11K more than the chimney liner project. After listening to Greg's sales pitch, I asked him if it was common for Dor-Mar to agree to a project, accept payment, and then not show up during their scheduled time only to then pitch their customers with a more expensive solution. Greg's immediate response to me was and I QUOTE: "well we can't complete your project because we don't stock chimney liners and honestly, you whining like a little girl doesn't change anything." Me: whining like a little girl? Greg: "yeah, all I hear is you whining like a little girl about something that can't be changed so stop being a whiner" I was shocked at the unprofessionalism. Instead of Greg listening to my concern and helping to find a solution to the problem that Dor-Mar caused by promising to complete a project within a specific window of time and not showing up - he simply got defensive, called me a "little girl", "cry baby", and "whiner" and telling me "to grow up". Greg strikes me as the type of person that talks more than he listens. The fact that he is in a customer facing role is WILD. To Dor-Mar: I'll never do business with your company and I will make sure everyone I know in Columbus proper, stay far, far away from your team - all because of Greg. The rest of your team: Skylar, Cayden, Courtland, all wonderful but Greg is disrespectful. He's unprofessional. I'd go as far to bet that this is not the first issue you've had with this individual. B. You should truly invest in better training.
