Maxwell mini storage has on site security with 24 hour monitoring. Well lighted at night. Professional and customer friendly staff!

We decided to use Maxwell Mini Storage to store our daughters' vehicle while they were home for Christmas. They had the car serviced at the Subaru dealership prior to parking it in the storage lot in preparation for their return after the Christmas break, so we know the vehicle was in good working order. When they dropped the car off on 11/29/22 just before closing, the maintenance/security guy Jerome instructed the girls to park the vehicle in a specific area, my daughter's gut instinct told her this was not a great area with a clear view to cameras as he had her park next to a large RV, but she's a 20 year old college student and Jerome asked her to park there so he can keep a closer eye on it. When they returned on January 7, 2023 they picked up the car on their way home from the airport to find that the car started but was extremely loud! They got the car back to campus and immediately called Subaru to make an appointment to have it looked at. When they brought the car to the dealership on Monday morning they learned the catalytic converter was stolen. My girls immediately went to the police station to file a police report then proceeded to Maxwell Mini Storage to inform them of the theft from their "secure" lot. Dennis the GM was there and was helpful in taking her to the parking spot and showing her where the nearest cameras were and it turns out the spot Jerome instructed them to park was not in a very secure spot in clear view of the cameras. Dennis was able to contact the Owner Nissin Presenti in India and was told Maxwell Mini would help with the police investigation as well as the insurance claim, but did not accept any fault. They also apparently do not carry liability insurance for anything that happens while your possessions while they are being stored at their facility. Their website states, "We have outdoor drive up and indoor climate controlled units available. Our gated property is secured by a live-in maintenance employee, razor-wire fenced perimeter, electronic keypad access, professionally monitored security alarm, fence motion detectors, and 24x7 video surveillance." Upon my further investigation of this company, they are NOT accredited with the BBB. DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY!!!
