Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Duluth North, MN

Obviously understaffed and poor quality control, wanted to try this hotel because of the waterside for the kids but we will stick with our normal hotel for stays in duluth. Rooms were dirty, garbage under the beds and old opened drinks in the fridge, bedding was wrinkled and looked like they were made by someone that was late for work. No toilet paper or tissues, only 2 towels for a family of five. Pull out couch had a filthy mattress cover and covered in crumbs of some sort. No extra bedding for the pull out couch. Paint peeling in the bathroom, bathroom vents layered with dust, shower ran out of hot water very quickly. Breakfast wasn't bad but for everyone trying to get food and people moving around it was very unenjoyable.

Nice clean rooms, however the hotel was horribly understaffed and it took an extra 2 hours to get our room which was not cool. The staff that was present at the front desk did an amazing job considering the situation they were put in. We were able to enjoy the pleasant but crowded pool area while we waited for a room to open up. When one did they made sure to get us in right away. House keeping did a great job the rooms were clean and comfortable. They just need more staff and it would be a great place.

Rooms: The room was very small and the bed I slept in in room 231 was extremely uncomfortable. Not sure if all the beds in the hotel are the same or what not, but the one I slept in in room 231 closest to the window honestly reminded me of a jail bed. Extremely uncomfortable unfortunately. Other than that, the staff were very friendly, especially Venita Lee at the front desk. Nearby activities: This hotel is right next door to the Outback Steakhouse. Very convenient, since it's our family's favorite restaurant.
