image I have been banking here for many, many years and have received nothing but the very best quality service and security. I, for the life of me, do not understand when someone complains about a business that sets and follows protocols implemented that keep peoples lives, children, pets or money safe. I came here to leave my 5-star review but then saw the 2 previous reviews of 1-star. Wow. If the shoe had been on the other foot and they had not been called to check on someone cashing a check from their accountI just wonder how they would appreciate that. My guess is they would leave their own bank a 1-star for not confirming the check to be legit. There are unhappy folks in this world that hate everything and feel it necessary to share that unhappiness. Im so glad that most people are smart enough to read between the lines and see where the problem lies. I will continue to love banking here at Pinnacle and will continue to confidently refer friends and businesses to do the same.

image Welp. It looks like Pinnacle is not openly understanding that in banking practices you are to never treat a person as if they are a thief or fraud when they enter your building. Making up policies on the fly to fit your actions and negative perception of others is outrageous and harmful. What happened to making everyone feel welcome? You could have had a new customer, but you all dropped the ball. Also, where is the apology for lying and telling a customer she can't come to your bank anymore because a she felt mishandled by your bank teller? Trying to cover this up with "bank policies and procedures" is asinine. So everyone who tries to cash a check over $1000 has to wait for an ok from the account holder? That's crazy. Glad I'm with BOA. I'd hate to get called every time I write someone a check over $1000. SMH

image I was 100% Profiled today as I tried to cash a check from a vendor. Waited almost 30 mins before the check was finally cashed. The teller Lina Quin told me she had to call in bc the check was over $1000. Even after showing her my agreement with the vendor WITH the names of the owners of the bank account being apart of the agreement which was in email form, the check being dated the same as the event, me listed off about 9 different names which were included on the agreement (5 of which were also on the bank account), she still refused to cash until someone from the business called. She stated it's policy, but that policy isn't seen anywhere online. She later said, if she "knew" me, she would cash it. Bc she has never seen me before this is policy. SHE LIED. I called 2 other Pinnacle Banks... that is not a policy. The policy is to call IF the account holder has a call request on their acct, which my vendor DID NOT. Because the teller could't get thru to anyone via phone she stated I could just "come back" another time. The check was finally handled when they received a call from the acct owners wife (who is not on the acct, btw) bc I texted the vendor while I was there advising of the difficulties I was having. Thank God I recorded majority of the conversation and this woman's lies. The bank manager never came to help after I asked for one, btw.
After I confirmed Pinnacle's policies, and leaving the bank, I called back to speak to the bank manager, JAMES. After advising him of the horrible service and feeling profiled he further validated what I was feeling by immediately stating "When it comes to checks, we get alot of fraudulent checks in here". What does that have to do with me, I asked. Just because I'm new to this bank location, you assume I'm a fraud and treat me as such? They totally disregarded me having evidence of the contracted service with the vendor which was dated and all. James immediately became defensive and would not let me speak. He was a horrible communicator for a bank manager. I asked him if it was Pinnacle's policy to call bank account owners if a check is over $1000 and he REFUSED TO ANSWER. HE KNEW IT WAS A LIE. Instead he told me I could not come back to that location anymore. Never once did I raise my voice in anger or use foul language with him. They simply got caught up in a lie, and in return tried to ban me from their location. The CORPORATE office will be notified. As a minority woman, I DID NOT FEEL WELCOME IN THIS BANK WHATSOEVER. This is not the end of this situation.

Business Response on Google Feb 29th, 2024
Pinnacle and all other banks have standard procedures to help protect our clients against check and wire fraud. Before conducting a transaction that will draw from their account, it is our responsibility to verify the transaction is legitimate and approved. This is especially true for large transactions like the one described. Verifying a check with a known representative of the client is an essential step for protecting our clients from fraud and is most often used when processing a transaction for someone who is not known to the Pinnacle associate. Federal regulations make a clear distinction for procedures for a "known" client versus an "unknown" client. If the associate serving you does not know you, it requires additional steps before authorizing a large check drawn against a client's account. These are procedures applied universally for “unknown” parties in a transaction who are attempting to draw large amounts from our clients’ accounts. We are very sorry for the inconvenience it causes and for any hurt feelings associated with it. It is our duty to look after the money our clients trust us with. Instances of fraud are skyrocketing nationwide, so all of our associates are on high alert at all times.
