DO NOT LIVE HERE! The staff at this place is very shady. Talk to actual residents of the building before you sign a lease. This staff will put on fake smiles and lie to your face to get you to lease with them.

This is a terrible place to live. The staff members are downright rude and will lie to your face. Make sure you get everything in writing from them if you're brave enough to live here. Furthermore, if they tell you construction will take a certain amount of time: Don't trust them. They will say anything to get you through the door then treat you poorly once you sign the lease. They also have a bug problem there. On multiple occasions I went to go get coffee from their machine and found ants in the coffee. I've had packages mishandled and delivered open on the floor. The building has many crusty rooms with 10000 layers of paint just peeling way. Even though this is all bad the worst thing about this place is the SHADY management. It got so bad here the residents got together and considered filling multiple lawsuits. Some of them even did. WORST experience ever!

Edit: A week after I posted this review online, I received a 21/30 eviction notice to vacate premises. Dweck is threatening to evict us because we "refused and failed to prepare our balcony for a balcony restoration project" by not removing the furniture on our balcony because of our visually impaired child being unable to have layout of the apartment changed. They didn't care at all. I'm sure it's no coincidence that I received this notice one week after posting a one star review online. Original Post: I have lived in this complex for 5+ years and the location is incredible, but everything else is awful. Management has turned over 3 times since moving in and we now have Dweck Properties as our management. They nickel and dime tenants over everything, have absolutely zero empathy or kindness toward tenants, and pretend having things like cheap pizza nights make up for how they treat us. They are now saying that they will pay us $50 referral bonuses for posting positive reviews on here, so the other 5 star reviews you see on here are probably paid. Last year, our rent went up over 21% in a single year. We have since had two mice infestations, a cockroach infestation that took over 6 months to get rid of, and we have continual construction and maintenance disrupting our life. We have gone without AC and heat during the dead of winter and the peak heat of summer, and we've dealt with tons of criminal activities and police coming and going constantly. Even that would be tenable if we had at least a decent maintenance and office team, but the team we have in management is truly so cruel and uncaring that I wouldn't recommend anyone ever move in here. I am disgusted that people like this even exist and that they seem to enjoy the thrill they get from playing God with people's lives and homes. (By the way, we moved in in 2018 and have lived in three different apartments (two in the East building, one in the West). It's been a nightmare from day one and we've repeatedly been put in harm's way while living here.)

The staff is caring and accommodating! Chester, Cindy, Marvin, & the dedicated maintenance team members are so attentive to our needs. They work tirelessly to resolve matters quickly and provide prompt notices to upcoming projects related to the current updates to make our lives easier. Ive never been so seen and heard by my leasing office. It makes a world of difference! The property is easily accessible to the major highways and DC. I love the vicinity to Falls Church, Alexandria, & Georgetown.

The Horizons has a good location. The school System is one of the best in the country. My family and I are blessed to be part of such amazing community. Marvin, Chester and Cindy are always available when called upon. Theyre caring, kind and good hearted humans. I love the resident events.
