The hotel is old. The rooms need a face-lift. The pool was closed. The phone didn't work. However, the customer service was spot on. I was given complimentary drinks and breakfast, which is always a plus.

Unfortunately I should have read the reviews for this hotel before I booked. It's just that I've always had such fantastic results with all the Embassy Suites I've stayed at over the years that I never considered one to be a bust as this one was. 1. Huge hotel with only 2 luggage trolleys so be prepared to carry your luggage. There were 2 trolleys that were by the back door tied together with zip ties and a note saying out of order. Didn't appear to be anything major wrong with them. 2. Telephones in both the rooms didn't work and had to go to front desk to ask for additional bedding. Since I indicated there were three of us in the group you would think that the room would be ready to support three people. Bedding was delivered to the room. Maintenance never did take care of the phones. 3. Son-in-law went to front desk to find out what time breakfast ended. Desk clerk had no idea. I've never stayed at an Embassy Suites that didn't have an information booklet in the room. Desk staff definitely should have had that information. 4. Breakfast required a ticket to get a made to order omelet. Since we did the electronic check in nothing was mentioned about that until we got to the serving line. Maybe an envelope in the room with the number of breakfast tickets required for a three person stay for two days would have been appropriate. A letter or note in the envelope stating drink tickets needed to be picked up at the front desk would have been okay and assured staff that only adults were given the tickets. 5. Dining area was filthy. No one was cleaning tables after people finished their breakfast. I'd never seen that before. 6. We went to the manager's reception Saturday evening and the breakfast foods dropped on the floor were still on the floor and the tables still weren't cleaned. Disgusting as in the 7 or 8 hours between breakfast and the evening reception surely that could have been cleaned. 7. Swimming pool was closed. No reason was given and staff didn't seem to know why. Also hotel information indicated there was a hot tub but that didn't exist. 8. Parking area in the back of the hotel was filthy. That included walkway, staircase, and grounds around the staircase. We were there from about 8PM on the 29th; departed about 10AM on the 31st; area never cleaned. At the end of the staircase there was water running and it appeared to be coming from a break in the walkway. 9. Toilet kept running and maintenance never came to fix that. 10. On positive notes, bathroom was refreshed and towels were replaced while we were gone on the 30th. 11. Breakfast appeared to be a typical Embassy Suites spread. 12. Manager's reception was typical and the evening staff were very good; professional, helpful, and very friendly. The snacks were enjoyable. Ray Kasper

We recently stayed at this location and it was TERRIBLE. The atrium could be beautiful, but it was dirty. The tables were dirty, sticky, food in the chairs there was trash all over the floors. The rooms need to be updated. There were no extra sheets or pillows you had to go to front desk. Neither one of the phones worked in the room. The carpets ripped in the room. The cabinets were scratched and doors broken. The hallways had bits of trash, elevators were sticky. The back entrance was filthy and by the back door was broken luggage racks, old dirty air filters and stacks of chairs. They had 2 luggage racks for the entire hotel which is ridiculous. If you do digital check ins you have to go to the front desk for breakfast tickets and cocktail tickets. If you dont have tickets you dont get benefits. The breakfast area has 1 waffle machine and you have to wait forever. The breakfast food wasnt bad, and on a good note they did keep it fresh and full, but if you want omelets you better get your tickets. The pool was open Friday and closed the rest of the weekend. Lighting around the hotel was poor. The front glass doors were filthy. We have stayed at several Embassy Suites because they are always clean, feel like home away from home and we enjoy cocktail hour and made to order breakfasts that have been amazing, but this was by far the worst. I would never use points or pay for this location again. Also the parking lot was filthy and the trash that was there when we arrived was still there when we left 2 days later, and some of the parking lot was blocked off in the back. I heard SEVERAL people complaining about this hotel while we were there. I do have photos of most of this also. I understand you are renovating in September, but that is 5 months away so why let it get to this point before then. People pay alot of money to stay here and that excuse is unacceptable. Rooms: Definitely need updates!!! Safety: Not sufficent lighting. Walkability: Nothing close enough to walk to but not a far drive to restaurants. Food & drinks: Cocktail staff was very nice and did keep the snack full. Noteworthy details: LOCK YOUR VEHICLES..

Worst hotel experience in years. Do NOT accept room 316! Started with walking in the room and choked by the smoke smell. Front desk said there was nothing they could do but agreed to send housekeeping with some room deodorizer. Never happened. Opened the balcony door to try and help air out the room. That balcony door ended up being a blessing because the room never cooled down and it felt better with it open. Had to sleep that way. Oh, and if you pick this Embassy because you are on a business trip, think again because it is the noisiest Ive ever been to. Definitely not a quiet stay which made it difficult to sleep. So, we wake up (after a horrible nights sleep because of all the noise, slamming doors, people yelling, tons of banging above and beside) to the sound of dripping in the bathroom only to discover water dripping from a nasty vent straight into the toilet. I have video. I have never seen anything like it. Oh and the toilet paper holder came off the wall. The whole hotel needs renovating. The ripped carpet needs replacing, vents are nasty between thick dust and years of patch work on walls and ceilings. Wish I had read reviews but had never stayed in a bad Embassy before. Management might want to spend a night in one of their rooms to see how bad it is. Seriously. Dont waste your money. When I showed the front desk my video of water dripping into the toilet from the ceiling vent, they said sorry about that. Nobody can use it. Imagine getting ready in the morning with those conditions. Turns out the lobby bathroom is a need of renovations as well. Especially the metal toilet paper holder that is broken which allows clear view from one stall to the next.
