They are renovating the hotel, I did read a few reviews before going . What really stood out was the lady in the morning making sure breakfast was ready. She always had everything stack every 5 mins was putting new items so everything would look full - amazing . the rooms were clean and large enough . We spend 2 nights .

Under renovation did not impact our stay at all. Quiet, clean, good price, wonderful staff. Alexa and Michelle are always a pleasure to see at the front desk. Right off the freeway and close to Starbucks, this hotel has all we need.

I was quite concerned when I arrived as renovation is underway. Did not know what to expect with construction noise. However, given the magnitude of the work, they were silent as a " mouse." I never experienced any discomfort. In fact, from the professionalism of the desk clerk, Alex, to the beauty of my room, I was extremely pleased with the accommodations as my family is accustomed to Fairfield Marriots' consistent product and service. This particular Fairfield Marriot in Hayward was outstanding & and I'm looking forward to returning.
Rooms: I was fortunate to have a newly renovated room. The amenities (USB connections everywher!) were outstanding. Very comfortable accommodations.
