Mount Olive Lutheran Preschool

Our twin kids love this school and adore their teachers and their friends. Teachers Ms. Joanna and Ms. Tanya and other teachers embrace them and encourage them to explore and grow in a fun, trusting, and loving environment. Director Dave Welch's engaging, passionate, open, and professional management of this great school gives us comfort and inspiration. The school's facility and environment is one of the best in the Palos Verdes/South Bay area (We had visited quite a few pre-schools before we toured Mt. Olive - and we signed up on our first visit as we were so very impressed by what we experienced.) Kudos to David and his excellent team and thank you!

My daughter started at 2.5 and has enjoyed going to school at Mt. Olive ever since! The director David is outstanding and flexible.. really understands family and children needs. The teachers have been so loving and nurturing. My daughter had a hard time the first few days and they truly made her transition so wonderful. I am soGrateful to have found a safe and fun place for my daughter to play, grow and learn!!!

My son left another secular preschool to start going here and loves it. Lots of space for children to play and get dirty as all children should!Also a curriculum that teaches the love of Christ and kindness to all which is so needed in this world. A fantastic staff that communicates with parents and advocates for children. Very thankful to have found this space.

This place is so worth to come and see and drive to PV. My 3,5 yo going there for 3rd month now and she doesn't want to leave the school at the evening. The director Mr. David is so nice, so as all teachers! He sends you pics and videos throughout the day so you have a peace of mind and see your child is save and happy. We also very pleased with their tutoring and developmental philosophy. We had a very poor experience with other places prior to this one, and it's complete the opposite! My daughter cried to go to that poor place. But here she's happy! And her English vocabulary significantly started to gain! We're very happy with this place!

This preschool is amazing!Prior to enrollment for my two boys, my wife and I did an exhaustive search for the best fit for our family. We did multiple school tours; and I am pleased to say from the location, to the director (David Welch), to the teachers/faculty, and the cleanliness, we are more than happy to have our boys here. Most importantly, my boys love this school!The school environment is more like an extended family/community, where we feel very happy knowing our boys are in excellent hands and looked after at all times. Mr. Welch has created an environment that is nurturing, safe, and as far as my wife and I can see everyone is happy to be there. The curriculum is such that it incorporates play, social interaction, and academic learning in a very positive atmosphere; everything you need in a preschool prior to Kindergarten. There are opportunities for daily updates from the teachers via pictures and email. There are numerous family engagement activities throughout the year; from volunteer to holiday events, which are awesome. I am giving my full endorsement for anyone looking for a great preschool in the Palos Verdes area.
