Inn Off Capitol Park, Ascend Hotel Collection

Small bugs crawling on shower curtain. Hotel did nothing but allow me to cancel the following night. Unless you feel like talking a chance and catching something, i wouldn't recommend staying here!

Rooms were clean and comfortable but not very soundproof. Website lists parking as an amenity but there are maybe 10 spaces total available and the spots are difficult to fit in due to cement pillars. Breakfast isn't included but there is a mini fridge and hot water makers available. Location is fantastic! Walkability: Easy walk to everything nearby, especially the convention center and capitol.

My coworker and I recently stayed at Inn Off Capitol Park in Sacramento. The rooms were okay but subpar to Hilton hotels. The hotel parking was limited and more expensive than other hotels I have stayed at, costing $18 per night. However, my main issue was with the customer service. When I was checking out of the hotel, the front desk receptionist charged my card on file for an extra night and another day of parking, which I received a text notification about. The receptionist assured me everything was settled, but when I asked for a receipt, she called her manager and admitted her mistake. She said her manager would reverse the charges but refused to provide me with her manager's name and phone number. The next day, I received an email receipt showing that I still owed a balance of $200.29 and that the additional day of parking still needed to be reversed on my credit card. I called the hotel four times to speak to a manager and resolve the unauthorized charges but never received a callback. Eventually, the hotel sent me an updated receipt and reversed the unauthorized charges, but I was disappointed that the manager never reached out to apologize for the inconvenience.
