La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Fort Myers Central

To keep it simple with you the Location is perfect, service was decent, beds were small, the place was mediocre overall, water seemed contaminated and the shower was dirty, the hotel overall is old and could be renewed.

Skip this place. Old dirty and broken. Worst place ive stayed in for many years. Would not even call it a breakfast. Overpriced. You have been warned read other recent reviews.

Not recommend at all! Please spend few more dollars and book elsewhere. Especially we are staying for a day or two with kids get yourself another place.

First impressions are everything and the first thing we noticed when my family arrived was that there was a vinyl banner covering the original LaQuinta by Wyndham sign now says Baymont by Wyndham. It appears to have recently changed ownership. My husband questioned the front desk whose response was that it was to make the place better. So, maybe its just a rebranding situation due to a poor reputation?? The place has obviously recently been getting small improvements like fresh paint, new room signage, flooring, bedding. I saw some reviews about people having an issue with roaches. I personally saw no signs of this and for the most part the room was clean, but the windows of most the rooms, as well as ours, I noticed had a grimy film and not wiped clean. THE BEDS WERE SO SMALL. Some of the people were sketchy that were walking around, and sitting randomly in the parking lot in their car, on the curbs and at around 10-11pm there was a rather large group of people gathering at the back of the parking lot in fold out chairs. One of the reasons my husband chose this spot was due to the advertisement of a continental breakfast, which are obviously never too impressive, but its an easy way to get your day started. This was by far the most disappointing I have ever seen, to be honest. I wouldve appreciated a bagel, a muffin, a pastry, yogurt, but the options were white bread, and soggy, wilted room temperature eggo waffles. Oh, there was also boiled eggs in the fridge, granola bars, oatmeal packets, and some cereal. My husband and I were trying to at least going to get a coffee for the road, but we couldnt even get to the coffee machine because there was so many people swarming the counter. One lady with a ton of kids. All the tables were full or waiting to be cleared. It was a very small area to dine. Very crowded and claustrophobic. Couldnt wait to get out of there. Needless to say we went for breakfast elsewhere. Anyway long story short we were not impressed. I would touch on the customer service and say that the front desk staff was very nice, but after reading the condescending response from the hotel (I assume is the owner) to one womans review of not feeling safe in this hotel I am convinced that if I had a conflict that needed to be addressed by management (say a refund, which we considered upon check in) that we wouldnt get very far with a resolution. There will not be a reason to speak with management however, as we will not be staying here ever again and recommend that you dont either. Save your money. This room shouldve costed $39. Cant wait to see what Ill get back from this review.
