St. Mark Preschool

The first 6 months went fine, then after a death in the family caused my child to start having difficulty with transitions and authority, she was expelled after a few weeks for not being able to instantly overcome her grief and fall in line. So, I would say this is not the best fit for strong willed, independent children. The staff is just not skilled in dealing with children who are a bit more challenging.

This is an overdue love letter to St. Mark's for how they helped guide my two children into District 57 schools.  My kids are now 17 and 20, so I have no recent experience, but cannot imagine much has changed since we spent four years under their care.  From the administrator Cindy to each and every teacher (especially Peggy and someone else whose name escapes me at the moment), it was a place chock full of learning and love.  And somehow this flowed down by creating a very strong bond shared between the other families and Moms and Dads which did not diminish with time.  Thanks again to everyone on staff for creating a nurturing, warm, highly competent educational experience for my children.

Our youngest daughter is enrolled in the preschool and my wife and I have nothing but praise for St. Marks. Mrs. Zediker, Mrs. Renz and the entire staff are, in my opinion, outstanding. They treat our daughter with the type of kindness and respect that we ourselves do. The environment at St. Mark is loving, attentive, and stimulating. Our girl comes home happy and energized, often showing off projects she has worked on. We also like that they're a not-for-profit, which for me sets an appropriate tone in an organization that is tasked with caring for children. We were referred to St. Mark by my sister-in-law, whose children attended as well. It's safe to say our family strongly endorses St. Mark.

Wonderful staff and teachers. Excellent stem program for kindergartners.
