The Maywood at Speedway

This place was a great place to live until new company and management took over. The office staff Brandon and Tiffany are not customer friendly, they make up rules that are not in your lease. The staff is very sneaky they are not very considerate in helping people that need help with rent meaning they are not willing to work with you.They DID NOT open the pool until September, they denied residents access to laundry units in their building by locking the door. They are very petty with visitor parking passes for your guest. Nothing is being done about trash not properly being stored in dumpsters which has created rodents that they are not doing anything about. maintenance half fixes problems and you have to call them out again. Since this company and management has taken over the moving turn over rate is unbelievable. There has been residents that has lived there 10 and 12 years and have moved out or will be moving out because of management. Asked for information to reach out to the corporate office and was told by Brandon corporate does not have an email address or phone number to be reached and to reach corporate we had to go through him.

Absolutely dreadful. Do not rent from The Maywood. The new management is callous, inattentive, and they will almost certainly rob you as they did me. The previous management was nice and reasonable but this new management is only out for money. They are a large company spread throughout the midwest. They have no concern for their tenants. They care only about profit. None of these apartments are worth what they are charging for them. Not even close. You are throwing your money away if you rent here. There are better places to rent from in Speedway. I urge you to look elsewhere. They get 2 stars for being technically functional but there’s nothing worse than thieves or dishonest management.

Have a pretty good experience under fairlawn. It is older community but they are fixing it right. Things arent always perfect but the office staff definitely makes it right. Maintenance is usually on it and I see them picking up grounds every day

Me & my family have lived here since 2010 & we have seen 3-4 different managing companies here. However, the new manager “Brandon” is EXTREMELY rude & lazy when it comes to African Americans. This company will tow any and everybody’s car if they refuse to pay a $25 application fee in order to receive a parking permit (whether you live with the leaser or not, you have to pay $25 for an app fee and wait to get approved) but will not come out and fix any issues you may have with your apartment. The office team does absolutely nothing but send you to voicemail and hide in the office all day. The maintenance men are unreliable and don’t know what they’re doing. They only fix the issue “well enough” for someone else to move in. They do not hold up their end of the leasing agreement & when you remind them of the agreement, they wanna give you “leasing violations” that way they can put you out instead of honoring the agreement and making sure the apartment has safe living conditions. They have had 18 tenants move out in the last 3 months and every one I spoke to had similar if not worse experiences. I wouldn’t even recommend this as a first apartment for a college student.
