Great hotel with a good location.
Rob was very helpful and very nice at the check in. The rooms are great, have a huge bathtub but the couch and chair look used. However, parking is convenient and the service is very good. The location is perfect with just a few steps to downtown and all of the bars. Good recommendation to stay in Iowa City.

The staff was very nice. However, I'm not sure who decided barn door on a hotel bathroom is a good idea. No privacy whatsoever, every sound and smell quickly escapes. Then on top of it, the barn door is made out of glass. So no one can take a shower, or go to the bathroom without everyone in the room being awake! It's also supposed to be higher end hotel, but the pictures lining the halls were broken or missing.

I wanted to give this place a 4-star rating, but unfortunately, my post-departure experience wasn't the greatest. Starting with the positives, the location was excellent, right in the middle of Iowa City with plenty of activities nearby. The room was decent, although the bedroom blinds were broken, preventing us from opening them. Additionally, the coffee mugs were dirty, with visible coffee stains that hadn't been cleaned properly.Upon departure, I noticed a $6 charge for two bottles of water we didn't use, which the hotel eventually refunded after I called to inquire. It was frustrating to have to make that call in the first place, as those charges shouldn't have been there. Similarly, we were charged for parking even though we didn't validate the card at the hotel reception as they claimed. I had to call again to rectify this charge. It's disappointing to have to question unauthorized expenses after a stay.If you decide to stay there, make sure you're being charged the correct amount, as they might try to charge for things you didn't use.

My wife stayed at this hotel during a special time. I had flowers delivered, and knew they would not be in a vase. I called the front desk to see what they could do. I spoke with Brad. He said he would try to find something. I called back 30min later for an update. Brad said the hotel didn't have anything, but he reached out to someone who would bring something! An hour later I get a facetime call from my wife with a very surprised and pleasing look on her face. The beautiful flowers were placed in a vase and looked super gorgeous. Thank you Brad for going above and beyond your job description. It was extremely refreshing to have someone on the other end who was happy to please a customer! That, unfortunately, is not a popular thing these days! THANK YOU AGAIN!
