Hyatt Place Iowa City Downtown

Very pleasant hotel, we were lucky enough to be on the top floor, the room is simple but very comfortable, the bathroom also (be careful, some bulbs in the mirror are starting to no longer work correctly), the few negative points are the fact that a machine was working very loudly (I don't know if it's the roof air conditioning or the ice machine) during the night/day which woke me up The hostess was friendly. Big advantage of this hotel is its location, it is 10 minutes walk from the city center and the various museums there

We checked into this hotel and was confused on where to park. We ended up in the resiliency apartment and didn't realize until our key did not work. We approached the front desk and was explaining that the key wasn't working and the attendant was rude and asked if we came through a purple polka dots door. We finally entered our room and was worried about our vehicle being towed so we went down to the garage three times before we found the purple door. Once we found the door there was no parking so we had to park on the resiliency part of the garage. Overall, we were so nervous that we would get towed that we didn't enjoy our time. We were true out of town people so using the key to start the elevator, amongst other things was fairly new to us. We had to learn from other guess. Overall, the rooms were very pretty and clean. Just wish that the front desk would not assume that we should have known where to park.

Stayed here a couple of nights. The rooms are nice and clean, some have windows that start on the floor. It has a small pool, gym, good location, and breakfast is pretty good. Hotel parking is $12 a night. Will stay here again.

Not sure where to even start on how amazing our experience was staying here! The staff was soooooooooooo nice and accommodating to our needy requests. Clean room, good breakfast, awesome hospitality. They even gave us gifts to celebrate our baby. So thankful. Staff here restored my trust in humanity again is this Iowa thing or are they just super kind people?!? Recommending here to anyone visiting Iowa City.
