Holiday Inn New Orleans Airport North, an IHG Hotel

We stayed here last night, all 50 of us in our travel group. The Front Desk Agent either dislikes his job or wasn't impressed by the size of our group. Our room was very clean and a good size, if we had stayed longer, the awful view would have bothered me. Loud from highway. Many of us went downstairs for dinner after a long 6 hour drive. The restaurant was very under staffed and after over 30 minutes of waiting to be even offered a glass of water, I left, without anything. The server was also the bartender and the cook was preparing meals then running them out to tables. While the two of them seemed efficient, it was just too long of a wait and was almost 9pm when I left. I mentioned this to the front desk as I was returning to my room and his response was that they need to hire more staff. The power went off for about an hour in the morning as a storm rolled in, no emergency lighting on decent in stairwell. Breakfast was staffed sufficiently, and although some items were not warm due to the lack of electricity, food was good. Would I stay here again? Probably not, disappointed as I often stay at this chain.

The front desk clerk was phnomenal. Rooms: The room was quite large and very roomy.

An acceptable place, especially if you need to go to the airport. A great airport transport service. Breakfast was better than most. The rooms had minimal flaws. The new ice makers on two floors were off.

Breakfast was terrible buy the experience was better. The rooms was clean and comfortable
