      image I was truly disappointed and felt that the electrician who came out to assess the project was attempting to take advantage assuming we didn't know any better. Because of this we chose not to hire the company based on the high price as well my perception of their dishonesty.

      Michael,Thank you for the opportunity to bid your hot tub rewire. We are sorry that you were left with these feelings.A review of your earlier electrical permit revealed that the work inspected on that permit was a new panel and a dryer circuit/outlet. The hot tub was NOT included on that permit.As a licensed master electrician I am required by local authorities - St Louis County Office of Electrical Inspection - to complete any electrical work to National Electrical Code standards. The ROMEX in the pipe is not wired per NEC.We would be glad to arrange a meeting with the St Louis County Chief Electrical Inspector to further explain this matter.

      image We had a great experience with Votum Electric! We purchased a historic home a month ago and our home inspector noted a few issues in need of a certified electrician. We needed some GFIs installed, some A/C disconnect boxes remounted, and some old wiring updated. Sue reached out to me the same day I submitted my Angi request for proposals and scheduled the estimate appointment for just a week after we closed. Charlie did a very thorough walkthrough with me, talking me through what he'd need to do to address each issue. He sent an estimate promptly after wrapping up. Votum's estimate came in well below other companies we contacted; their pricing seems very fair.
      Cory and Matt came out a few weeks later and were able to complete all the work in one day. They were friendly and professional and did another thorough walkthrough with us to explain all the work they'd done. The project was on-budget and the team left our house neat and tidy. So far, everything is working as expected. Payment via credit card was easy and Sue in the office was incredibly responsive and friendly throughout the entire process. I would definitely work with Votum again in the future and recommend them for any electrical needs! Services: Electrical wiring installation, Light fixture repair, General repairs, Electrical outlet & switch installation
