We made a reservation with this hotel in December 2023 for a stay in October of 2024 (for the Albuquerque balloon festival). In March 2024, the hotel called us and said their system lost all reservations for October. When we called them to re-book the reservation, the price went from $95 per night to $399 per night. The hotel would not honor the price agreed upon in the original reservation. If their system had truly lost our reservation, how did they know the dates of our reservation, our name, and the phone number to call to cancel our reservation? And when we called to re-book, they referred to a cancellation number for our original reservation - what? Apparently, the price we had booked our reservation for was just too cheap for a stay during the Albuquerque Balloon Fest. Because this hotel is individually owned, the corporate office could not help us re-book with the original rate. This hotel gives the whole Choice Hotel chain a bad name. This is a fraudulent business practice. Beware when making a reservation at this hotel - they might decide they can get a better rate and cancel your reservation. One star is too good for them.

It was clean and quiet, and a comfy bed. Breakfast was adequate and bountiful. Overall, a good stay, I'll go back. The neighborhood directly outside the fence may be a bit sketchy and there are warning signs around, to lock your vehicles. I was like the only vehicle on the back side of the motel so I was nervous about leaving it out there all night by itself; it was OK.
