Got there a little early, 2:30. Was told the room wasn't ready. We waited in the lobby. Couple came in shortly after us and immediately got checked in and upgraded. When I inquired, I was told our room still wasn't ready but that I could get into another room, which was a handicap room. So I opted for that. Why I wasn't given that option initially, I'm not sure. Got into room. I was there for a couple of hours when I noticed something under the dinette table against the wall. After looking closer, it was either dog or cat poop. Mirrors were also dirty and didn't look like they had been cleaned. Went to the front desk. No manager or cleaning staff on the premises. Evidently, only 1 person works nights. He offered to give us another room, which I accepted, but we were on our way to dinner. We changed rooms later that evening. The other room was fine. Next morning, I let the manager know about the situation. She apologized. She was going to credit my stay but couldn't since I had used points. She gave some extra points but not what nearly I had used for the stay. My biggest gripe was with the cleaning services. If you're going to have a pet friendly hotel, rooms should be cleaned properly to make sure no animals don't leave anything behind.
