Really nice value right near the beach and the pier in Santa Monica. The room was clean and spacious. We didn't pay for the ocean view upgrade, just had the courtyard view, but it was fine for one night. What knocked them from a five-star to a three was when I asked for the receipt at check-out, I noticed I was charged $48 for valet parking. I didn't have a car and never talked about parking when I checked in the night before. I asked for it to be removed, and it was, but when I looked closely at the newly printed receipt later in the day, I noticed that there also was a 10% tax on the valet parking that was not removed. I'm not going to call for a $4.80 refund, but way to sneak your hand in my wallet, Ocean View, and leave me with a bad taste after an otherwise pleasant experience. You took five buckets and tried to take 48 more just to lose two stars. I'll look elsewhere next time I'm in town.

I would not stay here even for one night! The room we got was very nice and clean, and the location is perfect, but what bad service! When we arrived, I specifically asked the front desk what the additional fees for our stay would be, and I've been charged different hotel fees than what they told me at first. When I tried to speak with the front desk about it, the lady was very rude and told me that she doesn't know who I spoke with and treated me like I'm a liar. I asked to speak with the manager, but she wasn't available. I asked to get a call from her but haven't heard from her. I called myself, but she didn't respond. Definitely will never be back here.

It looks like the room was paid for by a third party company and when confirming your reservation and given the final price quote, it states that there is a daily destination fee that isn't covered and is paid for at the property.
