Over all this hotel was great. The neighborhood was quiet, it was convenient to almost anywhere on the west side, and it had a cool boutique vibe about it. The beds were a bit soft for my likening but thats just a personal preference.

I was a registered guest at The Ambrose Hotel Santa Monica 20 to 35 nights between April 2006 and February 2009 while Director of Corporate Sponsorships and Business Alliances for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation and visiting our Santa Monica office.
$$$$ The rooms always great.
$$$The breakfast even greater.
- Having resided almost entirely on the East Coast, I enjoyed watching MSNBC dayside when I woke up and went to the lobby area on the main floor for breakfast, in particular Tamron Hall, after missing Morning Joe due to the time difference!

. Horrible service. People were partying in the hallways late at night. Multiple calls to front desk to ask them to control the noise were unsuccessful. I ended up checking out early as a result. Location is not great. Gym is minimal without functioning ventilation.
