Fantastic bed and breakfast. The location was great for walking to many cafes, restaurants, shops and much more. Every breakfast was remarkable. The treats left out in the afternoon were so tasty. We had to purchase one of the custom house mugs for a reminder of our excellent stay. We will be talking about our experience for years to come.
Rooms: Our room was on the first floor. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom and shower was very comfortable.

I LOVED our stay at the Holbrook House B&B. The proximity to Acadia couldn't be better. The B&B is also within walking distance to town, with its restaurants, shops, Shore Path, and Bar Island Trail. The updated room was well-appointed and clean, and the bed linens were so soft. We opted to eat breakfast at the B&B every morning, and it was always DELICIOUS. When my husband and I left to return home to Virginia, the owner offered to make us a breakfast to go, even though we were leaving at 5 a.m., which was well before breakfast was served. This kind offer cemented it for me: I would definitely return to Holbrook House, and I wholeheartedly recommend a stay there!
Nearby activities: About a 10-minute drive to the entrance of Acadia NP.
Walk to the town in Mount Desert Island for dining and shopping. The B&B is also within walking distance to Frenchman Bay, where you can catch a whale-watching cruise, and the Bar Island Trail, which you can walk across at low tide to Bar Island (but you'll be stuck on the island if you don't return before high tide, so know the tide schedule).

I don't usually leave reviews, but this place is amazing. Friendly staff. Great location. The breakfast here was better than what you could get at a restaurant. My wife and I felt right at home.

Wonderful stay at a charming bed and breakfast. The innkeepers were knowledgeable and had wonderful recommendations. We stayed at 3 different places on our trip to Maine and this one was our favorite. Clean, tidy rooms with a quaint, old world charm main floor. The dining room looks out into a beautiful garden. The breakfast was delicious and the homemade snacks of breads and cookies were a perfect afternoon treat with a cup of coffee on the porch. We would 100% stay here again and recommend this B&B to anyone going to Bar Harbor
