Dollar Car Rental

The worst experience i ever received. And the worst treatment from the larger body size girl with long lashes and long dread locks. She didnt have a name tag so i dont know her name. What i do know that she went above and beyond not to help me. Ridiculously rude person. Why in the world are you working in the customer service field when you obviously hate people- or maybe hate only white people. Also this companys rules are absurd. They do not appreciate your business. DO NOT EVER RENT A CAR FROM THEM.

The only reason I'm giving two stars and not one is because the staff were amazing and very nice. Besides that it was a terrible experience. Had a very long day and flight, finally get to the rental car agency to find out they had no cars, they said they're "bringing them in and it shouldn't be long." We waited there nearly 3 hours for the car. We were hungry and thirsty and cold. They should have at least told us the time and we would have ubered somewhere to eat. Finally we get our car then the guy at the gate wouldn't let us out because our car needed an oil change. Had to wait for another. I would have paid triple the price to deal with any other company on this day. Never again

I arrived at the Dallas Fort Worth Dollar desk after already a long travel day. I booked through Expedia and had prepaid for the reservation. The woman at the counter attempted to manipulate me while proving false information to rack up what I can only assume a commission sale. I was told the State of Texas law requires rental insurance only and I could not deny insurance even if I had my own. I was also told oh youve never driven in Texas. If you drive the toll roads without having the toll pass you will be charged $35 every time you pass through toll roads. Being extremely overwhelmed and exhausted, while my 4 sons were starving and tired I told her to proceed with adding the extra fees. After my card declined I asked how much the total is as I have enough to cover the expected $200-$300 charge, to which she replied the total is $987. I had to step away and collect myself before losing my patience. I contacted my family in Texas, one of whom previously worked for Hertz, and explained the situation. Family confirmed that I was given false information. I walked back up to the counter and simply stated I want only what I came here originally for and nothing more the rep said nothing and put in all the details. My final total was $329, which included a $200 deposit since I was forced to use my debit after the CC declined and wouldnt process. I cannot believe that someone has been trained to provide false information to make a sale and then blame the state laws to manipulate customers. Its unprofessional and disrespectful. I will never use Dollar Rental if this is how they gain business.

Already reserved a car online 2 days ago and it still takes 2 hours waiting to get the car. How wonderful!

Terrible! 1 hour waiting in line at Tampa airport at 11pm with minimal staff! Will not be using Dollar again!
