I am so glad we are moving out of this place this summer! Since my last review about a year ago, so many more things have happened to make our living experience worse. I had a leak coming through the pipes in the walls in my bedroom and maintenance was not timely with it. I kept contacting them several times because if you don't, they won't check up on it. The problem was finally fixed. It ended up ruining several of my personal items, almost ruined my electronics. They have this valet trash rule and you have to pay for it. They wouldn't take our trash one time because it was 15 pounds, it was light and only around 10 pounds. Our washer was not properly installed when we needed a new one and water leaked everywhere. Our dryer then went out and they didn't replace it for almost a month. Our utilities have been super high for no reason with this new lease. The cost of utilities has doubled since our first year of living here. We have even changed certain habits and nothing made much difference. Makes no sense at all. I am pretty sure they are overcharging us. I got my car towed randomly even though I had the new parking sticker. Had to pay $120 and the Grove did nothing to remedy the situation. The towing is absolutely ridiculous. There needs to at least be some sort of verification between both parties that shows documents of us living here. My car is even registered in the system. A sticker is not solving the issue. I shouldn't have to worry about my car being towed in the middle of the night AT THE RESIDENCE I PAY TO LIVE AT. Overall it's just been a hell of an experience. Constant changes in management and people, rules are constantly changing, maintenance is not so great, and it's all way too hyped up. The only plus is the shuttle.

The maintenance team is very helpful, quick and friendly as well as the team of office employees which makes my stay at the grove a lot more enjoyable and welcoming. I also love using the study rooms a good space to get some work done.

Think twice before signing a lease here! As a college student in search for affordable housing, I thought this apartment would be a good option since it was close to campus. However, I am highly dissatisfied with my experience living here. Since the day I moved in, the apartment I was given looked nothing like the pictures displayed online. It was dirty and I noticed some stains which I later found out were actually mold. My roommate and I were paying for an upgraded apartment and they placed us in a standard unit that was filthy. I was ignored for weeks after putting in several work orders and completing the inspection report. There was mold on the air vents, common area, closet, and laundry room. The mold even contaminated personal property which I had to dispose of. Very unsanitary and unsafe living conditions. They only relocated us to the upgraded apartment we had been paying for after we threatened to take legal actions. Please put your health first and consider other options!

OVERALL: There has to be a better place you can move into The Grove made a bunch of "renovations" mid-way through my lease that not only caused a disturbance in my day to day life for a couple days, but the renovations were done poorly. The paint job was not done professionally (paint was streaky, spots were missed, paint on my personal items.) They made a hole in the bathroom wall where they replaced the countertops. Had a leak come into the HVAC closet that was never repaired (hole in ceiling, moldy smelling HVAC closet, moldy baseboards where the water came through the wall. They're solution was to put a lock on it so we can't open it - it's just a closed in moldy room) The kitchen disposal shakes the entire countertop when it's turned on and I don't think it really works. The furniture replacements SUCK - the dressers don't hold anything (they seem to be made for a toddler) I have mismatched new furniture with the old furniture. They requested that I pay $130 to repair the blinds (Insane amount of money for the cheapest blinds known to man) I paid the amount mid way through my lease and they have yet to be replaced. (I'm expecting them to try to charge me again at move-out)The living room window leaked every time it rained, ruined some personal items. The heat system in my unit does not work properly nor did the AC for an entire year. They've fixed the AC after numerous maintenance requests - my heat pumps continuously yet it doesn't get any warmer (my thermostat is at 61 when its set to 73 for the entire day - causing my bill to rise) My utility bill used to be close to nothing and now its $60-$80 a month even when I'm not here. The hot water doesn't stay hot enough to take a bath (filled it a quarter of the way and then it got cold - no long showers) That's another thing, they keep upping the price and not giving anything good. The valet trash system makes it harder on the resident than anything. Parking is a nightmare when everyone is in school because there's not enough of it. Pros - location, staff is nice enough, washer & dryer, we've made friends with one of the maintenance men and he is great, always tries his best to help
