Hertz Car Rental - Springfield-Branson Airport

They were nice and the car was clean. A side note that I didn't find when doing online research. They require a $500 deposit and a credit check if you use a debit card instead of a credit card for the deposit. It was not a problem, but I was unaware until picking up the rental at the airport, so I wanted to share the information with anyone looking.

Car broke down just outside the city. My wife went to the airport to rent a car. Told her it would be $80/day plus $300 transfer fee to OKC. She said ok, Then the total went up to $560, when she asked why so much extra he took off $20 and said sorry. But after accepting we realized they added 3 extra fees that she didn't accept. Los damage waiver, concession fee, and cost recovery fee. Plus a $200 deposit! So one day was $740!!! Never dealing with Hertz again. What a scam!

Please never rent with this car company ! They said they dont have the car we booked 3 weeks prior and are trying to scam us ! Now we dont have any solutions. Choose anything over Hertz !

My initial rental was out of Tulsa but due to tire issues on my way to Indiana I had to call roadside assistance in Springfield MO. Roadside put the spare on and I was told I had to drive back 10 miles to Springfield Airport for an exchange. Nathan and Nicole assisted me with an exchange providing top notch customer service. Thank you both for making this exchange smooth and getting me back on the road. Nicole, you were right when you told me I will not have any issues with the Jeep. I absolutely had no issues. Love the SUV. Unfortunately, for me I didn't make it to Indiana before dark so I had to find a hotel for the night. Thanks again to Nathan and Nicole.

The return was fast simple and the attendants were respectful and attentive. It took only a few minutes to process my return. Great service.
