This was our first stay here and it could not have been better. Very easy to get to both Union Station (bus) and DCA (Metro).
Location is perfect right next to convention center. It was also a 15-20 minute walk to the Mall and all the museums. Plenty of great restaurants nearby.
Frank at the front desk was very helpful on several occasions during our stay.
The rooftop gym was very nice with everything for a good cardio/strength workout.
The rooftop lounge was also great to hangout at.
We had a wonderful suite room with a kitchen/living area/bedroom.
Look forward to our next visit.

I recently had a terrible experience during my stay at the Residence Inn Washington Downtown/Convention Center located at 901 L Street NW, Washington, District of Columbia 20001. I checked in around 10:30 pm on May 8th 2023, looking forward to unwinding and settling into my room. Unfortunately, my experience quickly turned sour.
As soon as I entered the room, I noticed a beeping sound that occurred periodically, approximately every five minutes. I made several attempts to locate the source of the noise but was unable to figure it out. Frustrated and wanting to resolve the issue, I immediately went to the front desk to report the problem.
To my surprise, the staff informed me that there was no service person available at that time to investigate the issue. I was told that I would have to wait until the morning for someone to address the problem. The front desk receptionist even tried to imply that I should have reported the issue earlier, questioning why I had come so late. I explained that I had checked in not too long ago and promptly reported the problem upon discovering it.
What disappointed me the most was the complete lack of initiative on the part of the hotel staff. Despite the ongoing disturbance in my room, they did not offer any alternative solutions, such as providing me with a different room. It seemed as though they were unwilling to take responsibility for the inconvenience I was facing.
Left without any resolution, I returned to my room, feeling increasingly upset and frustrated. I attempted to sleep, but the noise persisted, keeping me awake throughout the night. The level of service I received from Marriott at this particular location was extremely disappointing, and I cannot in good conscience recommend anyone to stay here.
Overall, my experience at the Residence Inn Washington Downtown/Convention Center was highly unsatisfactory. The lack of prompt assistance, the failure to offer an alternative solution, and the disregard for the inconvenience caused left me thoroughly dissatisfied with my stay.

Nice rooms good biographic place in the city. Lovely staff.
Two things that can be better
Breakfast - No vegetables at all. Only service white bread and bacon/ egg chocolate muffin. Not healthy.
Rooftop, only open Wednesday - Sunday. Bad .
