Bassett Furniture

We recently ordered furniture from Bassett and had the delightful experience of working with Deric Mueller from the Burnet store. He was professional and personable. The furniture arrived a few weeks earlier than we expected and we love the new look in our living room. I would highly recommend Deric's services and Bassett makes a quality product (we ordered a leather chair, and a fabric covered sofa and chair).

After a recent remodel which included getting rid of old furniture, I had to tackle the task of trying to find new. After many furniture store visits, I landed in the capable hands of Maria at Bassett Furniture. She spend hours with me, pulling out samples, making suggestions, and helping me pick what would work for our spaces. The help was invaluable and we have been very pleased with all purchases which includes couches, chairs, rugs, ottomans, a table, and some custom pillows! I would highly recommend them (Bassett and Maria!) and will continue to give them my future business.

Ashley Kohler is a fantastic designer and super easy to work with; she had great ideas for every step of my project. She came to my home and, using computer aided design, customized my space perfectly. We incorporated all of my ideas and I am thrilled with the results. A beautiful & comfortable couch, chaise & large leather ottoman that fit perfectly in my great room. I love the final result!

Overall, our experience with Bassett has been generally horrible. The Guardian protection plan is essentially worthless, and the "high quality" couch that our salesperson assured us was high quality and would withstand stains and tears (to the point she said not to use any scotch guard or any other protective measures) is, in fact, a giant piece of flimsy trash. The salesperson was friendly and helpful during the sale, but I guess that's how every salesperson operates. Once ordered, it took almost six months to get the couch - not only was it late, but when we received it, it wasn't comfortable and didn't present as was expected. But, since it was 'custom made,' we couldn't return it and were stuck with it. We kept the thing hoping it would soften up over time - not only did it not get more comfortable, it also started falling apart after one year of use. From start to finish, working with Bassett has been a gigantic let-down at best and infuriating at worst. When discussing furniture options with my circle and network, I will make sure everyone with whom I interact knows about this long-term negative experience and will do my best to convince them to shop elsewhere. Update - after emailing support as recommended by the admin of this account, the poor experience was amplified even further. The interaction was a weak, disingenuous experience that was obviously just a showing to go through the motions with the goal of wanting to give the impression that they care. Case in point: Their solution to poor craftsmanship and service - 30% off new cushion covers!
