Budget Car Rental

I rented a car on April 6th at 9 pm and had a flat by 11 pm. I paid for full coverage with add ons. When I spoke to roadside assistance, they wanted me to find a shop to fix the tire for reimbursement or put on a donut which could only be driven 50 miles and then switch out the car. This did not work with my travel plans, so budget worked to get us a tow, and assured us that we could go to any location to get a replacement car the next day. When we arrived at the OKC airport location where we picked up, the staff told us no car had been towed in. After a lot of back and forth with the towing company and the budget staff, they acknowledged that the car was onsite but in the wrong lot. They said it was my responsibility to move the car despite the fact that the towing company had put it where they were told and dropped off the key. The staff did not make any attempt to resolve this or try to get the car moved on their property. They told me it was unaccounted for until it was moved, and suggested that I was supposed to go retrieve the key from their drop box and move the car (with a flat tire). It was clear that none of them could be bothered to care. At that point I had been trying to get assistance for several hours. Thankfully, the towing company offered to return and move the car, and I eventually got a partial refund since by then, I was not interested in a replacement car. I truly dont know what would have happened without the towing companys help. I believe budget would have charged me with not returning the car even as it sat on their property. I will never rent from budget again, and I advise anyone to consider looking elsewhere. If anything happens, no one will help you no matter what coverage you pay for.

You have to wait in line for an hour just to get the vehicle. This was the second time i rented and the vehicle had maintenance problems. First vehicle you had to constantly fill the tires. The second vehicle had a clunking noise in the front driver side tire.
