This is my third 5-star review for UBOC on Wilshire and 20th. Favorite bank, favorite branch. My most recent visit was to reopen my account, which had to be closed after an online vendor over-billed by $530. No fun, especially not with an upset stomach. Credit for pleasant professionalism goes to BENILDA ROQUID and SANDRA MEJIA who took care of business! Thanks to both, I got finished quickly and went home to my ginger tea. Great job, UBOC.

Union Bank is absolutely the worst bank, hands down. I've banked with them for over twenty years, and when my car was broken into and checks stolen from my car, the thieves called me and attempted to extort $3k from me. The police told me not to give them this money. I filed a police report, which they didn't make it easy to do. I alerted the bank, closed my acct and opened a new one, the bank was aware of this attempted extortion and break in to my car, and advised me to open the new acct. The old acct could not be draw on or deposited into, and would automatically close in 90 days. They continued to draw on the acct even under the circumstances and well beyond the 90 days. The acct never closed as I was informed, When the acct became overdrawn over $10k, they removed the funds from my new acct. So not only did my car get broken into and I was victimized by thugs BUT now they allowed the fraudulent checks to pass through my acct AND MADE ME RESPONSIBLE victimizing me again. I'm closing my acct and never bank with this bank NOR SHOULD YOU!!!

Still one star! So unprofessional: I walked in yesterday and asked a curious question and one of them had a nerve to tell my mom! She should not do that! I would love to not give a star  and that's why I hate banks!!!

Although I miss the Saturday hours, they seem to have things going well again. Sandra is a high energy experienced person who can solve most things that need to be done.
